Last night at Stealers ball park, friends, players and committee members joined President Chris Rainnie in saying ‘Thankyou and Good Bye’ to Past President and Life Member, Rob McCluskey who is embarking on his seachange to Port MacQuarie with his wife Lynn.

Having started at Stealers in 2000, both his sons played ball and Keiran went on to represent Australia and the Blue Sox.

Rob was instrumental in formulating the clubs first 5 year plan, creating cafe Stealers, gaining the services of Ric Wickham to coach our juniors and set the platform for a strong junior based club and was President from 2004 – 2008.

As a tribute to his passion and drive in helping Stealers be the club it is today, the annual ‘Club Person of the Year’ award was renamed ‘Rob McCluskey, Club Person of the Year’ award.

We wish Rob and Lynn many happy years at Port and hope he leaves a few fish for us to catch when we visit.
Thankyou for your vision and all your hard work.
