C2 GF winners

Coming into the Grand Final, the C2 team had 2 losses & 1 draw record against Baulkham Hills who were the favourites to take out the Grand Final. Not to be out done and against team protocol, a Tuesday training session and a 12.15 early warmup pre the game worked wonders.

After two innings, Stealers led 1-0 having had two 2 baggers by Ben Edwards and Ben Rainnie ensuring the first run.
Pitching quality on both sides was outstanding with runs hard to get. In the 3rd innings, Stealers broke open the game with batters on base, aggressive stealing and 4 runs to prove a point. Leading 5 – 1 Stealers ground out over 2 more innings 5 more runs and held Baulkham Hills to nil with slick in field plays and hustling outfield plays.

Tom Coutts & Ben Rainnie were outstanding on the mound with all fielders error free for the day. Strong stealing by the old bloke of the team, Chris was a feature and Ben Edwards was named MVP.

Thanks for a great season
Coach – Chris Rainnie
