Junior and Intermediate League State Championships

Big news – we’re back! After nearly 10 years without hosting a major tournament, the Kuringai Stealers are proud to be partnering with Baseball NSW to host the 2026 NSW State Championships for Junior League and Intermediate League right here at Golden Jubilee on the North Shore this April 13th-17th

With 18 teams confirmed, we’re set for an incredible few days of top young talent from across NSW battling it out in big games filled with huge plays, home runs and unforgettable moments. On the line is a place at the National Championships and from there a ticket to JL/IL World Series in the US. We’ll have live streaming to catch every pitch, raffles running across the weekend, great food, great vibes and a fantastic opportunity to showcase our club.

This is a massive moment for our community.

But here’s the real talk — events like this don’t run themselves.

Volunteers are the absolute lifeblood of our club, and for a tournament of this size (our first in a decade), we need everyone to step up. Even just a 2–3 hour shift makes a genuine difference. If every family contributes a little time, no one carries a heavy load.

We are calling for volunteers across the following areas during the Championships:

Canteen

BBQ

Grounds Crew

General Cleaning

Working Bee – Sunday 8th March

To get the ball rolling, we’re kicking things off with a Working Bee on Sunday 8th March to prepare the diamonds, surrounds and clubhouse.

Jobs will include:

– Diamond preparation and edging

– Weeding and general grounds tidy-up

– Cleaning and organising the clubhouse

– Minor maintenance tasks

This is a critical day to get Golden Jubilee looking championship-ready. The more hands we have, the quicker and easier it will be — and it’s always a great chance to enjoy some club camaraderie before the big event.
