Changes to Online Registrations for 2017-2018

Online Registrations

Baseball Australia and Baseball NSW are mandating that baseball registrations (and the payment of fees) for all players (both junior and senior) are to occur via the Sports TG (STG) central online registration platform, similar to how other sporting codes across Australia are registering their players.

Some important points to note:

  • Please note that as part of the registration process you will be required to make payment of your fees via a credit card or PayPal.
  • Use Google Chrome or Firefox to complete your registration process as it will not function under Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, or Safari browsers.
  • Always select “Registering Someone Else“, unless you are an adult player registering to play

Steps to Register a Player

Once you click onto the dedicated Stealers registration link you will complete the following steps:

  1. Create a new account (or log in if you already have an account)
  2. Adding basic player details
  3. Select your registration products. All products which are required will be pre-selected for you
  4. A few more miscellaneous details (Emergency contact details, etc)
  5. Summary of what you are registering for
  6. Payment by credit card or PayPal (if paying via PayPal, after having selected this option and entering your PayPal information, confirm payment by clicking ‘Pay Now’)
  7. Confirmation. You will now receive an order number and a welcome email to your designated email address.

Some Help Guides to the various steps

  1. How to create an account
  2. How to register myself as a player
  3. How do I register someone else
  4. How do I register multiple people

2017-2018 Fees

  • National – Is the national component of the fees levied by Baseball Australia, including insurance. (mandatory)
  • BNSW – Is the state component of the fees by Baseball NSW (mandatory)
  • Club – Is the club and local association (RHBL) fee.

Traditionally, all of these components have always been there, the only difference this season is that they are all dissected for visibility.

If you need help, have any questions or encounter any difficulties during the registration process please feel free to contact Adrian Steer on [email protected] or 0408 66 16 17

So let’s “PLAY BALL” ….

Ku-Ring-Gai Stealers at the Tamworth Invitational Baseball Carnival

Posted on by Rob Scott

The Ku-Ring-Gai Stealers played in the C Division of this year’s Tamworth Invitational Baseball Carnival held over the June long weekend, now in its 49th year.

The Stealers won 3 games and lost 3 games against a very competitive field of teams from around Australia, finishing in the middle of the field of 11.

The Stealers squad comprises a group of core players who have been competing at Tamworth for the last 6 years, and this year welcomed rookies Gavin Gillett and Kevin “Rowdy” Yates, as well as the talented ring-in from the Illawarra, Pat Brienen.

While they didn’t bring home the trophy, the team’s performance was very good, with a team batting average of .453. Matt Dolan won honours for slugging with three home runs and also drove in 14 runs over the weekend. Individual batting stats were:

Matt Dolan BA .625/OBP .611
Pat Brienen BA .615/OBP .688
Scott Clohessy BA .563/OBP .650
Graham Solling  BA .533/OBP .529
Glen Hurley BA .500/OBP .600
Shaun Joffee BA .462/OBP .500
Rob Scott BA .444/OBP .583
Kian Mohammadieh BA .333/OBP .444
Kevin Yates BA .333/OBP .529
Gavin Gillett BA .308/OBP .308
Zac Scott BA .267/OBP .313

Matt Dolan just pipped Gavin Gillett with the pitching honours – Matt’s Total Runs Average was 6.00 against Gav’s 6.32.

Tamworth Invitational Baseball Carnival is a great event held in the capital of country music, with divisions ranging from the elite A-graders all the way through to F-grade, with 46 teams competing in total. Next year is the organisation’s 50th anniversary, and they are hoping to get 50 teams to compete.
