Stealers has an unprecedented 10 players in this year’s Ryde North Little League team, and they won the State Title and are off to the Nationals! But it costs money to send them there – you can help out, have fun and maybe win prizes at the same time.

The Annual “Festival on the Green” is again being held at the St Ives shopping centre, village green and Stealers will once again be there in force to promote our great club and help make people aware of the great sport of T-ball, Baseball and Softball.

Come along and have a hit and see how much fun it can be

BREAKING NEWS – Presidents Cup POSTPONED –

As a tribute to the retiring U16 players, Stealer’s holds an annual Baseball game [the Presidents team vs the U 16's] as a way of Thanks for their contribution to the club over the years.

Keenly fought, the Presidents team has been victorious over the past few years however, because of a concentrated coaching campaign starting 8 years ago with Ric Wickham, the current group of 16′s are a worthy challenger.

We were unable to hold the Presidents Cup this year as the U16′s were Competing in the Champion of Champions tournament [ an exciting and thrilling game of baseball at Kelso Park, home of the East Hills Baseball Club as teams from Sydney and the Central Coast via for club supremacy] , representing not only Stealers but RHBL.

BUT – It Will Be Back On as a precursor to the S12 season

on a well earnt achievement in not only being apart of the Ryde Nth team who won the NSW Little League Championship today

But also, going on to compete in the Nationals in Queensland in May 2012

You have done not only yourselves but Stealers proud.

A BIG well done to Ben Matthews and Ray Vercoe [both from Stealers] who coached the team to success

What a day

Stealers U12 team has won the prestigious Champion of Champions tournament comprising the winning teams of their association from the Sydney and Central Coast regions.

What a result and well done to the the team and their coach Ben Matthews, you have done Stealers proud

Unfortunately, the U16 team was beaten in the semi final but our congratulations go to Carl Matthews and the team for an outstanding season – well played

Gordon Fraser presented with the J.V.G award for Coaching Excellence

The J.V.G award for excellence in Coaching, Leadership and Sportsmanship in the game of baseball was awarded last night to Gordon Fraser.

In memory of our great friend John van Geldermaulsen, affectionately known as JVG, who was lost to us last year.

This award recognises the coaching excellence shown by John in his time at Stealers.

Criteria

1. Has played the game in the ” Spirit of the Game” through his/her Leadership and Sportsmanship

2. Has accepted the umpires decision without showing dissent

3.Has kept control of his/her team at times of potential disagreement with the umpires decision

4. Has not engaged in back chatting with the umpire, opposition players or spectators

5. Has been inspirational in his/her coaching of the team

Congratulations Gordon, a worthy recipient of this most prestigious award
