• Play by the rules. Ku-Ring-Gai Stealers Baseball and Softball Club Inc expect Members, Players & Officials to abide by the rules of Baseball and/or Softball in their observance and spirit.
  • Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your coach or manager approach the official during a break or after the competition.
  • The umpire’s decision is final and is to be adhered to.
  • Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials or other players, or deliberately distracting or provoking an argument is not acceptable or permitted. During a game, players and coaches should only converse with their own bench. Do not argue with the opposition or public.
  • Work equally hard for yourself and/or your team. Always respect and thank the opposition, umpires, scorers and spectators after a game. Your team’s performance will benefit so will you.
  • Be a good sport. Applaud all good plays whether they are by your team, or your opponent. Do not stress or acclaim failures.
  • Treat all players, as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully, or take unfair advantage of another player. Pitchers and catchers should apologise to the opposition player on a hit by pitch ball or collision.
  • Cooperate with your coach, teammates and opponents. Without them there would be no competition. The game is for the players and spectators to enjoy.
  • Play the game with spirit and in the spirit of the game. Enjoy the game and make it enjoyable for all, players and spectators. Place in proper perspective any isolated incidents of unsporting behaviour rather than make them the highlight.
  • You are an ambassador of the Ku-Ring-Gai Stealers Baseball and Softball Club Inc. Wear your club uniform correctly. Take pride in your presentation and the image of the sport. Coaches are responsible for their players and spectators’ behaviour.
