Baseball doesn’t stop for these kids over the holidays. Several members of the Stealers U12 Division 1 Cougars team attended the Sydney Blue Sox training clinic on Wednesday then backed it up Friday night with a team training session on BISP Diamond 3, followed by watching the Blue Sox beat the Melbourne Aces 2-0 in the second game of the series.

“No bad bounces on the smooth grass at Blacktown International Sportspark, so no excuses for sloppy fielding!” reported dad Glen Hurley, “The kids had a great time and learned a lot just by watching the game.”

They sure did, as the Sox put on a great defensive baseball show, with a couple of double plays, a fearsome “hold 3 play 1” play by the pitcher and a spectacular catch at the wall in right field.

Who rocks? Blue Sox!
